A lack of a Truecaller ID feature on iOS has unarguably made a lot of iPhone users quite unhappy. But now it seems Truecaller heard you and has finally introduced a live caller ID feature for iOS, exclusively available for those using its paid tiers. So no more guessing games, just pure identification bliss.
The Live Caller ID feature can now be accessed in iPhone. This means when someone calls you, you can simply say "Hey Siri, Search Truecaller". The app will then do a quick search and show the details of the calling screen. This new feature is exclusively available to Premium subscribers of Truecaller on iOS 16 and newer.
To enable Truecaller Live Caller ID on your iPhone, open the Truecaller app and go to the Premium tab. Then, click on 'Add to Siri' and follow the prompts to create a shortcut. The first time you use this feature, you'll need to grant Truecaller access to your phone; be sure to select 'Always allow' to avoid future prompts. Once you've set up the Siri shortcut, simply say 'Search Truecaller' when you receive a call, and Truecaller will identify the caller for you.
Plus, Truecaller has introduced an update that includes an improvement in its ability to detect and prevent spam calls. This feature is available to all users, but premium subscribers will receive automatic updates to the spam list, while free users can manually update it. Additionally, you can view and share feedback on spammers to further enhance Truecaller's spam detection capabilities with community input. The update also includes automatic categorization of SMS messages into different categories such as Finance, Orders, Reminders, Coupons, Offers, and Junk.
