Vu Televisions launches its 43in Vu GloLED TV for ₹29,999

Here’s one for the folks on the prowl for a budget TV. VU Televisions has just unveiled its 43in Vu GloLED TV. Equipped with the Vu Glo Panel and Glo AI processor, the brand claims the TV is capable of reproducing colour 4.5 times better than standard 4K TVs. Hey, they have even packed in an Advanced Cricket Mode and Cinema mode because they really do seem to know the Indian audience. 

What’s up with all this Glo talk you ask? Well, the Glo Panel and the Glo A.I. processor are believed to increase brightness by 60% with an NTSC colour gamut of 94%, all while reducing energy consumption. So it definitely outshines 4K LED TVs which have an NTSC colour gamut of 72% while getting pretty close to the 100% of the OLEDs. Not bad for a budget TV!

The processor even manages to upscale OTT content using AI and reproduces the full-colour gamut. The TV runs on a quad-core processor and a dual-core GPU. It packs on a 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM to run apps without any lag.

On the sound front, this model comes with a DJ subwoofer built right inside the sleek frame, producing an output of 84W. It additionally has a built-in soundbar with 2 speakers. Since no one wants a dumb TV these days, the Vu GloLED TV runs the latest Google TV OS. The new Google TV interface on board allows you to browse content from your apps and phone to add to your watchlist or search through content seamlessly. 

Last up, the Advanced Cricket mode technology has been built not only to give you 100% ball visibility but also to get a stadium-like experience. Perfect for the FIFA World Cup 2022 as well as the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The Dolby Atmos virtualization has been included to help enhance match commentary rather than the chaotic cheering in the background.
