WhatsApp Web may be seeing some privacy updates soon!

Paranoia tamed…

With #RIPtwitter trending and several platforms undergoing all kinds of changes, let’s take a look at what good ol' WhatsApp seems to have in store for us. It’s not long since the app implemented its newest security updates like being able to control who sees your ‘online’ status and more. So what can they do to make it more secure you ask?

While the mobile app is more than efficient these days, WhatsApp Web could do with a few tweaks in terms of privacy, because no one feels safe having their chats open and exposed in their browser! With this in mind, it is believed that WhatsApp's upcoming updates could potentially be aimed at protecting WhatsApp Web users by enabling them to set up a password to control access to their WhatsApp Web tab.

So you can now leave your desktops unattended without nearly having a panic attack every time someone gets near. Reports suggest that the feature is already under development and may become available to beta testers soon. If you happen to be brave of heart, don’t worry. Password protection is an optional feature which will probably need to be manually enabled.
