Will Twitter be pulled from the iOS app store?

In the spirit of free speech

If you are an Apple user with a habit of sending out half a dozen tweets every day, you may soon have to mend your habit or buy an Android phone because Twitter may soon become non-functional on Apple devices. Why, you ask? Maybe because Musk has gone bonkers, to start with.

In his recent tweet, Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter said “Apple has threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why”. In the following tweet, he claimed that Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter.

The tweetstorm highlighted Musk’s tenuous relationship with the Cupertino giant. Now, while we don’t know the exact reason behind the stressed rapport, it is speculated that it might have stemmed from Twitter’s new moderation policy to safeguard free speech or Twitter’s new subscription model that charges users $8 for verification and Apple may want to swoop in and take 30% of that purchase as per their App Store policies.

However, Apple is yet to release an official statement or confirm these claims, so till the time this happens, Apple users can continue tweeting.
