Xiaomi Instant Water Purifier Q800 boils water for your coffee in a second

One for coffee lovers

Xiaomi’s latest product for our homes does two things we need everyday. Purifies the water that we drink, and also instantly boils it. The latter is a boon for coffee drinkers that otherwise have to wait for about a minute for the kettle to boil the water. This new product is the Xiaomi Instant Water Purifier Q800.

Xiaomi uses what it calls a 360-degree surround heating system. In just a second, this system can filter and boil water that is ready to drink right out of the tap. One can use the Mijia app to choose from four preset boiling modes – normal temperature (25°C), milk mode (45°C), coffee mode (85°C), and boiling water mode (95°C). Users can also create their own presets via the app.

This product, as the name suggests, is primarily a water purifier, and it uses two RO filters for that function. Xiaomi has also increased the clean to waste water ratio – 3:1. The wastewater can anyway be reused for washing dishes, mopping floors and more.

The Xiaomi Instant Water Purifier Q800 has been launched in China, and is priced at ¥3,799 (approx ₹44,500). There’s no word yet on an international launch.
