Xiaomi Smart TV X Series makes 4K the staple

Big screens for small budgets

With the hectic sports season ramping up in full swing, it's time to upgrade your smaller screens and bring to your home a 4K television. The Xiaomi X Series is just what you require to keep your family (especially the old folks) enjoying the matches, be it football, cricket or tennis.

Available in the 43in, 50in and 55in variants, the X Series brings a metal build and sleek bezel-less design with a 96.9% screen-to-body ratio. The display itself sports 4K resolution with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. It also comes with a Vivid Picture Engine (VPE) and a 94% DCI-P3 wide colour gamut for better colour accuracy. The tellies also come with Xiaomi’s proprietary MEMC engine - Reality Flow.

To accompany the visual, the TVs pack on 30-Watt speakers with Dolby Audio support. There’s also support for DTS-HD and DTS: Virtual X Technology. The TVs bring the latest version of PatchWall as well. PatchWall users can now discover YouTube playlists directly from the PatchWall Music tab. You also get tried and tested features like access to live channels, universal search and kids mode on PatchWall.

So what makes all this possible? The X Series runs on the Android TV 10 platform in addition to PatchWall. Powered by a 64-bit Quad Core A55 chip, the series comes with 2GB RAM + 8GB Storage. For connectivity, you get Bluetooth and Dual Band Wifi support, three HDMI ports, two USB ports and an AV port for all your various types and formats of content. Last but not least, the TVs come with a minimalistic remote with a wide range of functions and control with Quick Mute, Quick Wake and Quick Settings buttons.

The X-Series is priced at ₹28,999, ₹34,999 and ₹39,999 for the 43in, 50in and 55in models respectively. So now you and your loved ones can both be plastered to the screen without shelling out a ton of money.
