Asus ZenFone 9 is a small phone with big power and a headphone jack

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 power to be precise

All eyes peeled for the latest flagship smartphone on the market. The Asus ZenFone 9 comes packed with features to justify the €799 (roughly ₹64,800) pricetag.  Powered by the  Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, the smartphone packs in performance within its modest 169g frame.

Sporting a 5.9in FHD+ (1,080x 2,400 pixels) AMOLED display, the smartphone is equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also boxed in a 20:9 aspect ratio and has 1100 nits of peak brightness in addition to the HDR10+ support. You also get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front. The phone runs on Android 12. It comes with a dual stereo speaker setup with Dirac HD Sound and dual microphones with OZO Audio Noise Reduction Technology. And, (drumroll)... a headphone jack!

Inside, there is up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of storage alongside an integrated Adreno 730 GPU. On the camera front, the dual camera setup on the rear consists of a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor and a 12MP Sony IMX363 secondary sensor that has an ultra-wide lens with a 113-degree field of view. The main sensor comes with support for the six-axis gimbal stabiliser. While, on the front, you get a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 camera for all your vanity needs.

All these features are impossible to run without the 4,300mAh battery that supports 30W fast Type-C charging. The device also has an in-display Fingerprint sensor and comes with IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. The phone will be available in four colour variants – Midnight Black, Moonlight White, Sunset Red, and Starry Blue. Indian availability is yet to be revealed, but in the meantime, you can check out the newest bigwigs on the market.
