Sony WF-C500 earbuds are perfect for your gym bag

Sweat-proof and over 10 hours battery life

Active earbuds tend to look like ugly blobs sticking out of your ears, and have bass that hit harder than your MMA trainer. Sony is bringing in some much needed change with its WF-C500 that not only looks decent, but also promises a balanced sound.
The earbuds feature a moulded design that should fit your ears snugly, and at 5.4 grams, you won’t feel the weight either. IPX4 rating also keeps the buds protected when your cardio session makes you wetter than a gym towel.
Sony claims a battery life of over 10 hours, which doubles when you include the power in the charging case. Fast charging support means you get an hour's playtime with a quick 10-minute charge.
The buds come with 5.8mm drivers with a frequency response range of 20Hz–20,000Hz, and are equipped with Sony’s proprietary Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE). One thing missing however is ANC, so the only way to drown out your gym buddy’s grunts is by raising the volume.
The Sony WF-C500 earbuds are priced at ₹5,990, and will come in colour choices of black, white, green, and orange. It will go on sale from January 16 via Sony’s outlets, major electronic stores, and e-commerce sites.
