The Stuff Gadget Awards 2024: Best Cars and Bike of the Year

These wheels are anything but ordinary!

The Stuff Gadget Awards 2024 is revving up to highlight the standout cars and bikes of the year. From the practical yet exciting MG Windsor EV, a hatchback that offers spaciousness and tech-forward features, to the thrilling Aprilia RS 457, a sportbike designed for both city streets and open roads, we celebrate the best in the automotive world. We have also picked luxury with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB, a car that blends futuristic tech with indulgent comfort. If you’re after a mix of performance, luxury, and cutting-edge features, these vehicles are driving the future of motoring.

Let’s look at the winners that are turning heads and setting new standards!

Electric car of the year 2024: MG Windsor

The MG Windsor EV is a surprisingly good car, and is arguably the most practical and wellpriced electric vehicle you can buy right now. It’s a hatchback in every practical way, but is longer and more spacious than your typical hatchback. While the exterior styling is a hitor-miss depending on who you ask, this car is rather fun to drive and quite well equipped for typical city running and the occasional long drive on the highway, if you can plan for the range and charging effectively. While there might be small things to complain about here and there, and driving range isn’t the best in the segment, the Windsor EV is a rather practical and capable EV hot hatch that gets the pricing right. It’s chock full of tech too, especially that absolutely luxurious 15.6-inch screen along with plenty of tech options including wireless Android Auto and CarPlay.

The lightweight frame and sharp suspension keep things razor-sharp and stable, so you’ll look fast even when you’re not trying. Decked out in Aprilia’s aggressive design cues, complete with a digital TFT display and top-notch brakes, the RS 457 turns every ride into an adventure. High-tech car of the year 2024: Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB

Giving the luxury car segment a serious upgrade, the all-new Mercedes E-Class LWB rejects traditional leather interiors and predictable technology, embracing futuristic opulence. From the Superscreen to the AI-infused MBUX infotainment system, this is the epitome of tech and luxury in a single package. Replete with interesting details all around the cabin, it never lets you forget that you’re cruising in a three-pointed star. If you prefer to be chauffeured, the backseat is your personal oasis. Reclining seats, ambient lighting that could rival a nightclub, and enough legroom to make a limo driver jealous – this is the ultimate mobile sanctuary. Sure, it might be missing a few fancy gadgets, like ventilated seats and augmented reality navigation. But with its mind-blowing technology, lavish appointments, and undeniable “wow” factor, this car is the undisputed king of the high-tech realm.
